How we make money

The short version: Amazon commissions fund the site, they cost you nothing extra, and they have never changed a ranking. The long version is below, because you deserve to see the whole thing.

Where the money comes from

Club & Carry is a member of the Amazon Associates program. When you click a buy link on this site and purchase something on Amazon, we earn a small commission — a percentage of the sale, paid by Amazon, at no extra cost to you. You pay exactly what you would have paid anyway. That commission is what keeps the lights on and the research going.

What it does NOT change

Here is the part that matters, stated plainly:

  • No brand pays us for placement. Manufacturers cannot buy a spot on a list, a higher score, or a kinder verdict. There is no rate card, because there is nothing for sale.
  • No commission rate changes a ranking.Where a cheaper product is the better buy, we rank it first — even though the pricier one would pay us more. You'll find $25 balls above $50 ones and last year's driver recommended over this year's, all over the site. That's the proof.
  • We take nothing for free.No manufacturer sends us gear, and we don't run a test lab, so there are no free units to bias us. Our methodis desk research and cost math, and it's published.

Why we tell you this so bluntly

Affiliate content has a trust problem, and it's earned — plenty of sites let the commission quietly steer the recommendation. Our entire pitch is that we don't. The only way to prove that is to be relentlessly clear about the money and then to visibly recommend against it when the cheaper option wins. If a page ever reads like it's steering you toward the pricier pick for no good reason, hold it against us — and tell us.

The formal disclosure

For the formal, FTC-style statement and the Amazon Associates operating-agreement language, see our affiliate disclosure. Every commercial page on this site also carries a clear #ad disclosure above its first buy link, because you should never have to hunt for this.
